Walk for Life: Incident on Market Street

It would not be Walk for Life West Coast without some pro-abortion demonstrators attempting to disrupt the event. Darwin Sayo, of the Walk for Life West Coast Media Team was in the thick of it, and got these shots. Click on any image for a larger version. All photo credits: Darwin Sayo.

The tiny numbers of opposition:




They had one of those orange plastic fences, festooned with coat hangers, that they attempted to string across Market Street:



It may have tripped up the police officers on bicycles:


In any case, the good SFPD quickly took charge, and the curtain was history:

Pro-lifers patiently watch and wait. Organizer Dolores Meehan instructed Walk for Lifers to stop their chanting while the police restored order--it makes it easier for them, and gives them one less thing to worry about. We love our SFPD!




After order was restored the Walk for Life West Coast peacefully continued:
